This is one of my favorite lenses. Its versatile, has image stabilization, and the autofocus is fast and quiet. Its a popular choice for photographers and my go-to for portraits, landscapes, and astrophotography.

The Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II lens is a versatile telephoto zoom lens highly regarded for its exceptional optical performance. With a focal range of 70-200mm and a fast f/2.8 aperture, it offers versatility for various photography genres. Known for its superb image stabilization (IS), fast autofocus, and high-quality build, it is a popular choice for portrait, sports, and wildlife photography. The lens is celebrated for its sharpness, clarity, and the ability to produce professional-quality results in diverse shooting scenarios.

This lens is an absolute low-light beast. I own two of them, both paired with Sony A7S cameras, and they're my go-to lenses for shooting video in the evening and at night. While they're fully capable of producing excellent photos, I use them exclusively for video. They also perform exceptionally well for my stargazing livestreams, where the fast f/0.95 aperture really shines.

The 70-300 is a great telephoto for the photographer that needs the reach but is on a budget. I purchased this second-hand for around $90 USD way before i had the 70-200 f/2.8. It has image stabilization and is extremely compact, making it convenient for travel. Pair this up with a star tracking and you have yourself tons of options for deep space photography.
